Inspired by the magical-realism of the Drexciya creation myth, Wavejumping hopes to explore the experimental and leftfield zones of underground club music. We attempt to connect the dots between the bassweight dub that came from Jamaica through west London, the otherworldly techno and electro of 90s Detroit and the futuristic, deconstructed club sounds from the present day. This show is a homage to how, at its best, music can alter the mundanity of everyday life and transport the listener to a different place.
