This South London based dj is originally from San Antonio, TX. Chupacabras first began djing while living in Barcelona in the early 2000’s playing at Bar Benidorm and Club del Mar. Originally leaning more towards Detroit Techno and Electro he quickly fell into Miami Bass, Ghetto House, Italo Disco and Chicago House. After sweating it out in the underground illegal party scene for a few years he became resident in one of the secondary rooms at Nitsa Club/Apolo called Sala Neon. There he got to know the likes of Legowelt, I-F, Dj Overdose, Dj Feel, Angel Molina, DMX Krew, Andy Weatherall, Marco Passarani and John Talabot to name a few. He also worked alongside Dj Zero at Wah Wah Records at this time in the “Dance Room”. In 2004 it was time to move to New York. After arriving he delved deeper into underground disco, boogie and soul while still playing house, techno and electro.

After spending 12 years in New York playing parties with Entro Senestre, Willie Burns, JDH and Ron Morelli it was time to leave again. Many Detroit trips and connections were made during these years which also shaped his sound.

Chupacabras is now living in South London and focuses more on production these days. Expect to hear forgotten classics and a mixed bag of anything goes in his dj sets and live shows. A sound that is ever changing, and never the same.
