Life, Vibes and Time reflects Nave Mae’s personal taste and constant diggin, as he does in his label 1980, turning it into a radio show. Every two months expect trips between soundsystem techno, electronic dub, ambient, noise and experimental hip hop always with a special guest in the second hour.
Nave Mae bio:
“Nave Mãe is the alter ego of Frederico Mendes. Founder of the 1980 label, he is a pioneer who has always been linked to the emergence of various underground movements in Portugal. It houses a sound of its own where it merges house and techno, manifesting mostly by bass lines with accentuated denotation where we can check in the monthly radio program of its label on Radio Quântica as well as the residence that shares with the producer Klipar – “Infâmia”. It has also gone through some of the most important clubs and festivals in his country such as Lux Frágill, Gare Porto, Musicbox Lisboa and Boom Festival. Through the label he directs he has already aroused the interest of magazines of the specialty like The Wire and the musical platform Boiler Room. He’s currently living in in the state of Virginia, US”
